Our recreation work includes carbon fiber components for backpacks, motorcycle handlebars, and paddle applications. SWC has supplied finished carbon fiber components to Zpacks and carbon fiber mold tooling to HIA Velo.

Medical equipment may require low weight, stiffness, durability, dimensional accuracy, cleanability, or performance around imaging systems. Properly engineered composites can also provide radiolucency for certain applications and reduce the weight of frequently repositioned equipment.

IN-HOUSE CAPABILITIES, FROM TOOLING THROUGH FINISHED PARTS
Southwest Composite Works operates from a 15,000-square-foot facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We house our engineering, tooling, composite manufacturing, finishing, and CNC machining under one roof, which supports our design and production decisions, and reduces supplier handoffs.
Our processes include compression molding, autoclave molding, vacuum bagging, bladder molding, and oven curing. We support prototypes intended for production and programs of 1,000+ units. Southwest is also a member of the American Composites Manufacturers Association’s High Performance Council.
